Welcome! The Rain & Moon Knits blog is authored by a mother-daughter duo. We write with the intention to create human connections, using craft as a common language.
Lita is Mom & Grandmom. She approaches her knitting with a willingness to frog that makes her almost fearless, an eye for detail, and a love of exploring and mastering new techniques. Her favorite yarn brands include Malabrigo, Madelinetosh, and Twisted Sisters. Her yarn super power is telling which yarns have silk content from a single touch.
Mackenzie’s training as an artist encourages her to see knitting as a canvas for all kinds of surface design. She is working on teaching herself to design and grade knit garments, in between working at a nonprofit and raising her own Little One. She hopes to have her first patterns ready to share here soon. She’s the blog’s editor (and is here to tell you that it feels really weird to talk about herself in the third person).
